Isonzo-Soča Cross-border Park in motion
We prepared a short video that will help you to get to know the cycle paths of the Isonzo-Soča project better.
The cycle path crosses the territory of the municipalities of Nova Gorica, Gorizia and Šempeter-Vrtojba, and builds a cross-border network of cycle and pedestrian paths along the Isonzo river and the border.
In the short movie we follow a cyclist that starts her path in Vrtojba recreational area, the first finished lot of the Isonzo-Soča project.
The path takes us through Piazza Transalpina/Trg Evrope to the 2. Lot of the project, which is the largest and the most demanding, Footbridge across the Isonzo/Soča river in Solkan.
We proceed along the border and cross the Solkan fields, that are a part of the 3.lot of cycle paths that connect to the 4. Lot in Park Peuma.
The video was presented for the first time at the launch event of the new Interreg VI-A Italy-Slovenia 2021-2027 programme.
Soon we will be able to cycle together on the new cycle paths of our cross-border territory.
Project Isonzo-Soča is financed by Interreg program Italia-Slovenija 2014–2020
