Inauguration of the Skupnostni center
Here are some photos from the opening of the Skupnostni center today.
Located in the Municipality of Nova Gorica, this building will become a real reference point for various social activities. Welcome!
The EGTC GO has made available a total of EUR 316,780.61 under the Salute-Zdravstvo project funded by the Interreg V-A Italy-Slovenia 2014-2020 Program. The Mental Health Center and the Info Point for the social inclusion of the vulnerable in the cross-border area will be located on the ground floor. This is part of the network of the three info points in the three municipalities of the EGTC GO, where residents will be able to receive information on the services available in the entire area. The other two info points have already been inaugurated: in Gorizia in 2019 and in Šempeter in June.
The premises of the mental health center will be dedicated to the work of a joint cross-border group, for the treatment of young people with mental health problems. The guidelines, written as part of the project, define the ways to act in crisis situations and the methodologies for the work and social reintegration of young people.
With the contribution of additional funds from the Municipality of Nova Gorica and from the Ministry of Labor, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, a space for the homeless and a space for two housing units dedicated to people with mental health problems and long-term mental development has been set up on the upper floors.
The inaugural greetings were given by Janez Cigler Kralj, Minister of Labor, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, Klemen Miklavič, Mayor of the Municipality of Nova Gorica and Paolo Petiziol, President of the EGTC GO. The presentation of the new location was given by Marinka Saksida, head of the Social Activities Office of the Municipality of Nova Gorica.
