BORDERLESS TASTE
Food and wine culture as an opportunity to discover a land without borders
The “BORDERLESS OKUS” project promotes enogastronomy as a tool for exploring the cross-border Karst region and the surrounding areas, raising awareness of the importance of cultural preservation and sustainability through educational activities aimed at professionals, local residents, and tourists.
The project had two main objectives. The first was to raise awareness of the importance of protecting and enhancing the landscape, culture, and traditional methods of food production, cuisine, and winemaking in the identified area, with particular reference to Malvasia wine. To this end, several cross-border meetings were organised in the Malvasia production areas.
The second objective focused on training professionals working in the restaurant, hospitality, and tourism sectors, so that they could understand the importance of local food and wine production as a key element for the development, success, and competitiveness of the area.
