In order to present the project and continue engaging local stakeholders, the SANITAS project, of which EGTC GO is a project partner, was presented at the 25th International Firefighters Gathering – Grado 2026 and at the Slovenian National Civil Protection and Rescue Days (Bogataj Days), which this year took place in Nova Gorica from 21 to 23 May.

The SANITAS project, funded by the Interreg Italy–Slovenia Programme, promotes cross-border cooperation with the aim of strengthening the cooperation capacity of healthcare organizations and other key stakeholders in the field of emergency management in the event of natural disasters.

The project partners – in addition to EGTC GO – are the Municipality of Ajdovščina (lead partner), ASUGI – Giuliano Isontina University Health Authority, Nova Gorica Community Health Centre, and the Public Institution for Firefighting and Rescue Activities – Nova Gorica Fire Brigade.

The direct involvement of stakeholders is the main tool for contributing to the identification of the key topics and critical issues that will be addressed in the Protocol.

The next cross-border discussion meetings among key stakeholders in the field of emergency management will take place on 4 and 18 June; further information is available here.
