EGTC GO took part in the 2026 edition of the Forum of Beauty, an event dedicated to the role of culture and beauty as drivers of social and territorial development, held in Genoa at Palazzo della Meridiana on Thursday, October 15th. During the panel “Borders, Crossings and New Geographies of Encounter”, Borderless Wireless Project Manager Giulio Selvazzo presented the experience of EGTC GO and the cross-border cooperation path developed between Gorizia and Nova Gorica.

During his speech, Selvazzo illustrated the role of EGTC GO as a European cooperation instrument capable of overcoming administrative borders and fostering the integrated development of the cross-border area. Particular attention was devoted to the experience of GO! 2025 Nova Gorica - Gorizia European Capital of Culture and to the contribution of the Borderless Wireless project through the go2025.eu platform, nominated for the award promoted by the Fondazione Italia Patria della Bellezza.

The presentation also highlighted how the process launched with GO! 2025 is generating results that extend beyond the European Capital of Culture year, with the aim of transforming a major event into a lasting destination. In this context, reference was made to the tools and networks developed in support of cross-border cooperation, including the GO! 2025 Small Project Fund (SPF) and initiatives aimed at strengthening a stable network of collaboration among institutions, cultural operators and local communities.

The Forum also brought important recognition for EGTC GO: the Borderless Wireless project was selected among the projects endorsed by the Fondazione Italia Patria della Bellezza under its 2026 call for proposals. This achievement confirms the value of the cross-border approach developed by EGTC GO and the project’s ability to showcase, through communication and innovation, a territory whose distinctive hallmark is the overcoming of borders.
