Nature workshop for children and families “Nature and tourism” (Project GOmini)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: A nature workshop aimed at families with children aged 6 and over, organised as part of the GOmini Project. The workshop is organised by the University of Primorska with operational support from Estplore guides. Participants will explore the riverbanks, discovering their biodiversity and the effects of human activities on the river environment. With the help of digital microscopes, we will take a close look at small organisms and details of the natural environment that are difficult to see with the naked eye.

Participation is free, but places are limited. Advance registration via the online form (https://forms.gle/KYjaScZpCdNoMe3V9) is compulsory. The workshop will be held in Slovenian and Italian. We recommend wearing layers, clothing suitable for protection against wind and rain, and walking boots.

Career guidance workshop and jobs fair “JobSTART: free career guidance workshops and a jobs fair” (Project JobSTART)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: JobSTART is a free event for young people, combining cross-border workshops on career guidance with a jobs fair.

Morning (10.30–13.45): JobSTART career guidance workshops. Entrepreneur Matjaž Kljajić will explain to young people from the cross-border region the five most common mistakes made when looking for their first job. This will be followed by parallel workshops: in Slovenian: reflection on one’s career path and personal values (Zavod TiPovej!) and practical advice on how to write a job application and prepare for an interview without work experience (Klara Kragelj, INCOM GROUP); in Italian: an interactive workshop on one’s aspirations, values and stereotypes regarding the future (psychologist Clara Miani)

Lunch accompanied by music and networking.

Afternoon (14:30–18:00): JobCONNECT job fair. Short job interviews with employers from Slovenia and Italy, closing speeches with performances, networking with company HR managers and a happy hour.

Nature workshop for children and families “Coastal Wetlands – Between Sea and Land” (Project GOmini)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: A nature workshop aimed at families with children aged 6 and over, organised as part of the GOmini Project. The workshop is organised by the University of the Littoral with operational support from Estplore guides. Participants will explore the coastal wetland area, discovering its characteristics and biodiversity. They will learn about the connections between terrestrial and aquatic habitats and the importance of coastal wetlands for nature conservation. With the help of digital microscopes, we will take a close look at small organisms and details of the natural environment that are difficult to see with the naked eye.
