Literary conversation “Time for words” and closing event “Time for images” for the photography contest “120 Years of the Bohinj Railway” (Project T4T)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The event “Time for Words: When Travel Becomes a Story” will feature Marco Carlone, Nicolas Rodigari, and Vitali Vitalie. This literary conversation will focus on train journeys, crossing borders, and encounters. Following this, the “Time for Images” event will host the closing ceremony of the “120 Years of the Bohinj Railway” photography contest, featuring the announcement of the results, the awards ceremony, and a screening of the winning photographs.

Simultaneous interpretation into Slovenian and Italian will be provided.

Wildlife workshop for children and families “Parks and Gardens – The Hidden Life Around Us” (Project GOmini)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Wildlife workshop for families with children ages 6 and up, organized as part of the GOmini project. The workshop is organized by the University of the Litorale in collaboration with Estplore guides. Participants will explore life in the park and discover the importance of parks and gardens for biodiversity. With the help of digital microscopes, they will take a close look at tiny organisms and hidden details of the natural environment.

The event will be held in Slovenian and Italian. We recommend wearing clothing and footwear suitable for outdoor activities.

Intergenerational Bike Ride and Cross-Border Closing Event (Project STARWAYS)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The event program is structured as follows:

• Introduction – Welcome remarks.
• Project presentation – the partnership will present the project, its objectives, and key results.
• On-site – we’ll experience the project’s results firsthand through a bike tour organized with Bicibus.
• Inauguration of the e-bike service and charging station in Sinji vrh, built as part of the project.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The event allows participants to discover the heart of the Baredi Forest in its autumn splendor before reaching the waters of the Stella River. There, guests can enjoy a wonderful tour of the traditional fishing scale and a delicious meal of freshly caught fried fish, then return along the riverbanks to Mizzan del Turgnano.

With the help of digital microscopes, participants will take a close look at tiny organisms and hidden details of the natural environment.

The languages of the event will be both Slovenian and Italian. We recommend wearing layered clothing, bringing protective gear against wind and rain, and wearing appropriate hiking shoes.

“Black Basket Castel Volturno” Exhibition (Project BE-LINE)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The ending of the exhibition will be attended by artist Simone Carolei. Right after, the event will continue with the screening of the BE-LINE documentary dedicated to memories of cross-border basketball, directed by Andrea Rosasco.

On the same occasion, Donatella Tomasi will also present the handbook on best practices for the “Sport & Memory” section, which features a photo collection, interviews, and the documentary on cross-border basketball, titled “Stories in Play: The Border Heritage of Basketball.”
