The conference offers an opportunity to discuss the present and future of cross-border cooperation in Europe, drawing on the experience of the European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation (EGTCs), with particular attention to EGTC GO and EGTC Euregio Senza Confini.

The event will explore the role of EGTCs in fostering the integrated development of border areas and in building shared governance models capable of addressing local needs and strengthening dialogue among different institutional levels.

The programme is divided into two sessions. The morning session will feature the presentation of the volume European Groupings of Territorial Cooperation in Italy, dedicated to EGTCs with Italian participation. The afternoon session will focus on the future of cooperation in the Italian-Slovenian-Austrian area, the opportunities introduced by the BRIDGEforEU Regulation, and the role of EGTCs as future Cross-Border Focal Points for identifying and addressing cross-border obstacles.

The conference will bring together representatives of institutions, academia and territorial cooperation bodies, fostering a multidisciplinary exchange on the challenges and opportunities of European cross-border cooperation.
