European programming and youth: the role of Friuli Venezia Giulia

Cohesion Policy and European Territorial Cooperation – between job opportunities and regional development 

European programming and youth: this was the theme of the conference held on Tuesday, May 13th, at the main campus of the University of Trieste. The event, organized by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia in collaboration with the Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) Programme and the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Trieste, addressed topics related to Cohesion Policy, European Territorial Cooperation, and EU initiatives promoted within the regional territory. 

Speakers at the conference included Professor Serena Baldin and Professor Moreno Zago from the University of Trieste, as well as several representatives from the Cabinet Office of the Presidency of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Interreg Italy-Austria, and Interreg Italy-Slovenia. Also in attendance was the EGTC GO, with contributions from project manager Micaela Passon and intern Alessia Cocolin, who presented the work of the EGTC and the opportunities it offers to young people. 

Among other topics, the projects funded by the Interreg Italy-Slovenia Programme  were highlighted, along with initiatives related to the 2025 European Capital of Culture and the Small Projects Fund SPF GO! 2025, as well as internship and volunteering opportunities for students and recent graduates.
