EGTC GO at the Euregio Academy in Alpbach
Nova Gorica - Gorizia European Capital of Culture 2025, the GO! 2025 small project fund, the EGTC GO and its role: these topics were also discussed at the Euregio Academy, the training course of the Euregio Tirol Alto Adige Trentino - Europaregion Tirol Südtirol Trentino, addressed to young people aged 18 to 35, which has been offered since 2015 with a two-year rhythm and organised in three seminar weekends.
This year a follow-up was held with participants from previous editions. The three-day event took place in Alpbach, Tyrol.
The title of this year's edition was Building Bridges: AI, Heroes and Culture in Cross-Border Cooperation, and the event took place from 16 to 18 August.
One of the first sessions, held on Friday 16 August, was devoted to culture as an impulse for cross-border cooperation. In this context, representatives of the EGTC GO, Deputy Director Tomaž Konrad and Project Manager Micaela Passon, presented the example of Nova Gorica and Gorizia within the GO! 2025 project. It was also an opportunity to talk about the EGTC GO, its history and its role in the territory, and the small project fund, SPF, as preparation of the territory for the GO! 2025 project.
The programme also included the presentation of the Euregio awards on the topic of artificial intelligence to young researchers from the Euregio, workshops and discussions on various relevant topics.
