A delegation of the EGTC GO also participated on August 30 in the meeting Corti senza confine (Shorts films without borders), organized by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Film Commission - PromoTurismoFVG and held during the 81st Venice Biennale International Film Festival, during which the eight winning projects of the “Corti senza confine” call for proposals were announced.

The project, conceived by the Central Directorate for Culture and Sport of the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia in cooperation with Friuli Venezia Giulia Film Commission - PromoTurismoFVG, “Corti senza confine” is one of the projects of the production program developed within the framework of Evropska prestolnica kulture - Capitale Europea della Cultura- European Capital of Culture GO! 2025 Nova Gorica - Gorizia and aimed at realizing, in the different spheres of culture, original products that can, also in the future, witness the great event of 2025 and ideally constitute a cultural legacy.

EGTC GO Director Romina Kocina brought greetings to the audience in attendance, thanking them for the involvement of GO! 2025 and inviting those present to attend the opening of the big event, which will be held on February 8, 2025.

The meeting took place at the Italian Pavilion, the space, organized by Cinecittà for the General Directorate for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Ministry of Culture, which welcomes professionals of the audiovisual industry to the main international festivals and markets, was an opportunity to discover for the first time and firsthand from the words of the directors and producers, the eight winning projects and to attend the teaser screening, a small taste of the works that are taking shape in these very weeks in the Gorica area.

The short films will be available to the public during 2025 in dedicated moments of “GO! 2025” program. Given the high value of the projects the hope, as emphasized by Chiara Valenti Omero, coordinator of the FVG Film Commission, is that some of them will find their way to the most prestigious national and international film festivals.
