Borderless Museums: register now

From 18-21 May 2025, Nova Gorica and Gorizia will host the international conference ‘Borderless Museums: Redefining Museum Narratives and Inclusivity’. The deadline for early bird registration has been extended until Saturday 5 April, offering a further opportunity to register at a reduced rate. Here is the link for registering.
The event will be a unique opportunity to share good practices, ideas and experiences, reflecting on the role of museums in overcoming borders - physical, narrative and social. New ways to make museums inclusive spaces and actors of social change will be explored.
Conference themes include:
Exchange of best practices: Museums as borderless knowledge platforms
Ethics in museums: Curatorial roles and dilemmas
Museums at the service of communities: Building connections
Hidden Frontiers: Plural communities reflecting on history and shaping the future
Transnational and Cross-border Museum Collaboration: Strengths, Weaknesses, Challenges and Opportunities
Museums and the European Capital of Culture: Sharing Experience and Good Practice
The event, in English, is co-organised by ICOM Italy, ICOM Slovenia, ICOM Europe, ICOM South East Europe, EGTC GO and GO! 2025 and is part of the Official Programme of GO! 2025 Nova Gorica-Gorizia European Capital of Culture.
Please note that participation in the conference requires a registration fee, the details of which, together with the full programme, can be found in the PDF below.
