The third SPF GO! 2025 call is coming soon

From Monday, September 8, the third call for proposals of the GO! 2025 Small Projects Fund will be available on the EGTC GO website. The call will remain open for project submissions for one month, specifically until October 8.
The total funding available for this call amounts to just over one million euros—exactly €1,026,839.17. Projects can have a maximum duration of 12 months, and each project’s budget must be between €30,000 and €100,000.
The GO! 2025 Small Projects Fund (SPF) is financed by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia 2021–2027 Program.
As with the previous calls, all of which supported initiatives related to the European Capital of Culture, project proposals for this call must also focus on four specific thematic clusters. Firstly, initiatives promoting active inclusion and participation of children and young people under 30 through co-design processes, aimed at enhancing their skills, improving employability, and fostering structured relationships with cultural, institutional, and local stakeholders. Secondly, projects that enhance green areas and aquatic environments, such as rivers, lakes, streams, lagoons, and coastal areas, through socio-cultural, artistic, and environmental awareness initiatives. Thirdly, the development of cross-border content aimed at promoting public infrastructure already present in the Programme area. Lastly, the promotion of well-being and social cohesion through accessible sport and physical activity—this focus was also present in the previous call.
Project proposals must be cross-border in nature and can be submitted by entities such as associations, companies, organizations, educational institutions and universities, and public or private bodies from Italy (Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Province of Venice) and Slovenia (Osrednjeslovenska, Primorsko-Notranjska, Gorenjska, Obalno-Kraška, and Goriška). Both the lead partner and all project partners must be based in the Programme area. The only restriction on participation concerns the role of lead partner: entities that have already received funding as lead partners in previous calls may only participate as project partners in this third call.
“With the launch of the third call of the Small Projects Fund, we are once again contributing to strengthening cross-border cooperation between Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, and Slovenia. The tangible results of the previous calls show how support for local initiatives can trigger long-lasting collaborations between areas and actors who had never worked together before. This new call, with over one million euros in funding and project budgets up to €100,000, aims to activate ideas rooted in communities. Our ambition is that, thanks to this call, broad-reaching projects with tangible impact and lasting benefits for the area will be created,”
says Romina Kocina, Director of EGTC GO.
In the days following the call’s publication, informational workshops—Infodays—will be held, as usual, in both Italy and Slovenia. These sessions will provide a valuable opportunity to explain the technical details of the call and the related documentation, which will be available in the dedicated section of the EGTC GO website. Information about the dates and how to register for the workshops will be published in the coming days on the EGTC GO website.
Through the two previous calls, EGTC GO is managing a total of 56 projects—44 funded through the first call and 12 through the second. The total budget for the SPF fund (across all three calls) is approximately €10 million.
After the call is published—on September 8—EGTC GO offices will be available for further clarifications via the usual contact methods (email: info@euro-go.eu, phone: +39 0481 535446).
The SPF GO! 2025 fund is financed by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Italy–Slovenia 2021–2027 Program and managed by EGTC GO.
