Amidei, Giffoni and GO! 2025

25.07.2024
Giffoni

Summer is the time for festivals, including the Sergio Amidei Prize in Gorizia and the Giffoni Film Festival in Giffoni Valle Piana, both dedicated to cinema. In recent weeks, exchange activities between the two realities took place, based on the agreement in which EGTC GO is also a partner.

The Amidei festival took place in Gorizia from 11 to 17 July. During this period, Gorizia hosted a representation of young people from the Giffoni jury. The GFF jurors, together with some students from the Benvenuti and Mazzacurati screenplay schools, who have been participating in the Award's masterclasses for some time, worked on film writing and developed short audiovisual products that could then be presented as part of Giffoni's activities. The delegation of Giffoners also took part in a visit to Ljubljana: together with the students of the Mazzacurati Screenwriting School they visited the Cukrarna Contemporary Art Gallery, the historical city centre and the exhibition dedicated to Karpo Godina at the Slovenian Film Archive.

The Giffoni Film Festival is taking place right now, from 19 to 28 July, and is also hosting a delegation of students and young people from the Gorizia and Nova Gorica area. The festival was also attended by Marco Marinuzzi of EGTC GO, who presented the GO! 2025 project in a public meeting also attended by Mateja Sulič of Kinoatelje, Filippo Allegrini of the Cross border film school and Eleonora de Majo representing the Amidei Prize.
