The day after graduation

The JobSTART project aims to create a cross-border model that supports young people in transitioning from education to the world of work. The project involves students and recent graduates under the age of 30 from Gorizia and Nova Gorica. The project aims to enhance young people's transferable skills, self-confidence and employability by fostering collaboration with businesses, educational institutions and local communities. The project includes the creation of the "The day after graduation" summer school, which consists of a three-day course including practical workshops, mock job interviews and meetings with employers. There is also a cross-border networking and experience-sharing event called “JobSTART Connect”. The participatory and bilingual approach enables language and cultural barriers to be overcome by combining training and practice within a single cross-border programme. The project introduces a sustainable and replicable model that prepares young people for the world of work, fosters cohesion in the cross-border area, and contributes to the goals of the European Capital of Culture GO! 2025 initiative.
