Glass-Routes

Sulle tracce delle antiche vetrerie del Goriziano
The project focuses on the history of Czech glassblowers in the Trnovo Forest, part of the cross-border Gorica area rich in raw materials needed for glassblowing. Between 1722 and 1830, glassmakers produced valuable glassware before leaving the area. The project seeks to recover also the intangible heritage left by the glassblowers through research and bilingual essay and a catalog of preserved items. The activities that will be carried out are the following: the organization of a cross-border exhibition between Gorica, Tolmin and Lokva, the construction of an art residency for glassmakers and the creation of new trails for about 20km that follow the footsteps of the path faced by the glassmakers.
