WALKofPEACE+ (WoP+) is a capitalisation project of the strategic project WALKofPEACE – “Sustainable Development of First World War Heritage from the Alps to the Adriatic”, co-financed by the Interreg V-A Italy–Slovenia Programme and implemented between 2018 and 2022. The project created a 500 km cross-border hiking trail that connects and interlinks over 300 monuments and sites from the First World War along various cross-border routes on both the Slovenian and Italian sides of the border. 

The main goal of the capitalisation project WALKofPEACE+ is to enhance existing tourism and research activities, continue the restoration and preservation of First World War heritage and the trail itself, and to prepare structured collaboration agreements among key partners.
