Sunday 23 March will see the return of the èStoriaBus BeWoP, a journey through places - Brda in Slovene, Cuèi in Friulian, in den Ecken and, of course, Collio - caressed by the generosity of nature as well as by the works of man, dedicated to the peace of work in the fields, sometimes ravaged by war, be it Turkish raids or the world wars. The beauty of the landscape will accompany us on our discovery of a land known and appreciated above all for its wine-growing excellence.

The itinerary will include a visit to Villa Codelli and Spessa Castle in the morning, while the afternoon will be dedicated to Villa Vipolže, the village of Šmartno and its museums, and the Church of the Holy Cross in Kojsko. To close the day, a visit with a toast at Formentini Castle.

The format of the èStoriaBus, the targeted visits to the places of history conducted and illustrated by historians on board of coaches, already successfully used since the first editions of èStoria - International History Festival, is developed and extended thanks to the project ‘Beyond Walk of Peace: from Crossborder Historical Research and Cultural Heritage to European Trail and Stories’, financed by the European Regional Development Fund within the framework of the Interreg VI-A ITA-SLO 2021-2027 Programme. Project partners include the lead partner Fundacija Poti miru v Posočju, EGTC GO, ZRC SAZU, PromoTurismoFVG, the Municipality of Miren Kostanjevica and the Cultural Association èStoria.
