The 7th institutional board of the Joint Committee FVG-SLO has met in Ljubljana

The 7th Institutional Board GO! 2025 of the Joint Committee Friuli Venezia Giulia - Slovenia met yesterday at the Museum of Architecture and Design in Ljubljana. The meeting was attended, among others, by Romina Kocina, CEO of the EGTC GO, Sandra Sodini, Director of the Office for International Relations and European Programmes, Mija Lorbek, CEO of the GO! 2025 Public Institute, and Stojan Pelko, Head of Programme of GO! 2025.

One of the key topics of the meeting was the establishment of a free cultural zone in the so-called ECOC district, which includes the necessary simplification of administrative procedures on both sides of the border to facilitate the organisation of events. The participants also discussed a cross-border mobility plan, ensuring the compatibility of cross-border public transport links, both rail and bus, and strengthening cross-border cooperation in the fields of tourism, sport and promotion.

The Joint CommitteeFriuli Venezia Giulia - Slovenia  was set up in 2015 with the aim of strengthening direct contacts and cooperation between ministries and departments of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The seventh meeting of the Committee was devoted to cooperation in the preparation and implementation of the European Capital of Culture GO! 2025. The meeting was co-chaired by the State Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Mag. Marko Rusjan and Vesna Humar, State Secretary at the Office for Slovenians Abroad and Internationally.
