First workshop of the CONNECT pilot action

On May 28th, at the GO! Center in Gorizia, the first workshop organised by EGTC GO and ISIG was held within the CONNECT project (Cooperative networks for cross-border engagement, climate adaptation and territorial resilience), financed by the Association of European Border regions (AEBR) and Mission Opérationelle Transfrontalière (MOT) within the framework of the Resilient Borders Cross-Border Spatial Planning & Crisis management programme.
The CONNECT pilot action has the basic objective of defining a joint plan for cross-border climate and environmental crisis management. To this end, the involvement of the area's main stakeholders is of fundamental importance, and they were invited to participate in the workshop to share their experiences, needs and knowledge. Representatives of various Italian and Slovenian entities took part in the work, including APE FVG, Green Cross of Gorizia, Nova Gorica Fire Brigade, ASUGI, Municipality of Ajdovščina.
Project managers Ezio Benedetti and Federica Gallus opened the workshop by introducing the CONNECT pilot action, after which the work was managed by ISIG through a model of co-creation and ‘methodological approach’. During the discussion, the input and opinions of the stakeholders present were collected. These will provide an important input for the elaboration of future strategies and the next steps of the pilot action.
