EGTC GO's experience at the conference "The economic value of culture"

05.06.2025
convegno

The EGTC GO, represented by project manager Greta Modula, took part on June 4th in the conference “The Economic Value of Culture”, organized by Terziario Donna Pordenone. The event took place at Palazzo Montereale Mantica and aimed to foster a shared reflection on the role of culture as a driver of growth and an engine of economic development, with particular attention to its impact on women’s entrepreneurship in the region.

In her speech, Greta Modula highlighted the distinctive features of EGTC GO’s work: concrete collaboration between local territories and institutions, the role of culture as an economic lever, and the central role of women. Data show that more than half of the entrepreneurial collaborations arising from EGTC GO’s cultural projects (SPF projects) feature women in key roles.

Prompted by the event organizers, the project manager also proposed a concrete initiative in the fields of culture, training, and female entrepreneurship: the creation of a cross-border lab for women who want to start cultural enterprises. A space – physical or digital – where they can receive training, build networks, and find tools and ideas to transform a cultural passion into a sustainable and long-lasting project.

Finally, the EGTC GO representative emphasized that culture is a driver of development, innovation, and inclusion, and that by joining forces – institutions, businesses, and individuals – it is truly possible to build a more creative, fairer economy that responds more closely to the needs of the territory.
