The EGTC GO presents its work in the field of cycle-tourism as the FVG Bike Trail approaches

In the framework of the initiatives the EGTC GO is working on in the field of cycle-mobility and sustainable tourism, a group of journalists, arrived in Gorizia in preparation for the FVG Bike Trail, had the chance to learn about the activities of the project BorderLabs CE.
FVG Bike Trail is a cycle-tourism event aimed at allowing participants to discover the territory of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. The event will take place from 4th to 6th September 2025 and consists of two itineraries, both crossing the cities of Gorizia and Nova Gorica.
The director of the EGTC GO Romina Kocina and the project manager Micaela Passon welcomed the group of ten journalists from Italy joined by a colleague from Belgium in Piazza Transalpina/Trg Evrope. The journalists had the opportunity to visit the square, at the heart of the European Capital of Culture GO! 2025, and to learn about the projects of the EGTC in the field of cycle-mobility. Particular attention has been devoted to the activities of the project BorderLabs CE, financed by the Interreg Programme Central Europe, which aims at structuring a model of cross-border development in the field of sustainable tourism based on cycle-mobility. During the meeting, the EGTC GO presented also the results of the projects ITI Isonzo-Soča and Cyclewalk.
The journalists had then the opportunity to test the local cycle-routes, from the very own Piazza Transalpina/Trg Evrope to the cycle-bridge over the Isonzo-Soča river in Solkan.
We are delighted about the visibility this gives to the territory, cycle-tourism jewel.
