On September 26th, the Italian and Slovenian midwives met in the swimming pool of the San Giovanni di Dio hospital in Gorizia to learn more about the theme of aquatic courses during pregnancy. The midwives of the Azienda per l’Assistenza Sanitaria n.2 “Bassa Friulana-Isontina” showed concretely to the Slovenian colleagues from Zdravstveni dom Nova Gorica and Splošna bolnišnica "Dr. Franca Derganca ”Nova Gorica" how water gymnastics courses are organized and structured for pregnant women starting from the 21st week of pregnancy. The afternoon was organized by the EGTC GO as part of the physiological pregnancy pilot action of the Salute-Zdravstvo project, whose goal is to create a joint methodology, to be adopted in the territory of Gorizia, Nova Gorica and Šempeter-Vrtojba for taking charge of the woman in physiological pregnancy through a physiological birth path.

The physiological pregnancy action is carried out by the EGTC GO in collaboration with Azienda per l’Assistenza Sanitaria n.2 “Bassa Friulana-Isontina”, the Zdravstveni dom Nova Gorica and the Splošna bolnišnica "Dr. Franca Derganca ”Nova Gorica". The fiosological pregnancy action is one of the five pilot actions of the Salute-Zdravstvo project, funded by the 2014-2020 Interreg V-A Italy-Slovenia Program.
