Opening of the Observatory and Planetarium (Project ZAFA25)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: On the first Thursday of every month, the observatory and planetarium open for guided telescope viewings and screenings of astronomy-themed films. Visitors will explore the complexities of celestial bodies, extraterrestrial phenomena, and learn more about the universe’s greatest mysteries on the big screen.
Events are open to club members; registration and membership fees can be arranged on site before the event and are valid until 31/12/2025: €12 adults, €6 children.

Workshop Lighting Guerrilla (Project ARTPUP)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The 34th edition of the Alpe Adria Puppet Festival offers 12 young people older than 18, with previous knowledge of video making, the opportunity to participate in a free three-days’ workshop during the Festival. The workshop is dedicated to the use of video mapping in site-specific art projects with a focus on videos in urban spaces. By taking part in practical activities, participants will become acquainted with video-mapping fundamental principles and methods, while developing their own conceptual and visual approaches to the project on architectural and special elements. The workshop will be conducted by media artists Stella Ivšek e Urša Čuk, which are both members of the multidisciplinary collective Beam Team, known for its audio-visual installations, video mapping, and media practices.

Inauguration of the Digital Storytelling Trail (Project Line B)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The inaugural event of the digital storytelling trail developed as part of the project will consist of an opening walk along the route. Throughout the itinerary, participants will use their smartphones to listen to the audio stories of the trail, which will be enriched in specific locations by costumed reenactors who will bring the narrative to life by portraying individuals who personally experienced the border — offering an even more immersive and engaging experience. The event will be open to the public and will include the participation of several school classes — both Italian and Slovenian — who will take part in the walk.

International Puppet Theatre Festival “ALPE ADRIA PUPPET FESTIVAL” (Project ARTPUP)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The Alpe Adria Puppet festival will see puppet theatre performances dedicated to both Italian and Slovenian schools, children and families in various locations across the cities of Gorizia and Nova Gorica. In the mornings, a video-mapping workshop – participation upon registration - dedicated to young people from 18 to 23 years of age will be held by collective Strip Core from Ljubljana, with the aim of realising a final flash art, scheduled to take place on Saturday 4th October. The festival will see events organised in collaboration with ISIG in the framework of the project ARTPUP on various topics, explored in the performances of the program, with the participation of field experts.
Tickets are required to access performances’ venues, whereas entrance to workshops and talks will be free, but requires prior registration.

Guiding the audience beyond the border is a photographic guide, whose antique flavour makes certain archaic rituals, surviving along the threshold between human and wilderness - represented by the river, seem real.

Masterclass on the topic of artificial intelligence by photography director Daniele Ciprì (Project GO! STUDIO)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Renowned photography director and film-maker Daniele Ciprì will hold a masterclass on 9th October at Hiša Filma in Gorizia. He began his career using cheap and simple cameras and then evolved, working on more recent projects with directors such as Marco Bellocchio and other international productions. While working on these projects, he confronted himself with the highest technological standards. The masterclass will deal with how the job of photography director is adapting to new technologies, including artificial intelligence.

Cultural Event “Con le storie addosso: Un dialogo-incontro tra professionalità diverse che accolgono le narrazioni dell’altro / Z zgodbami v sebi: Dialog-srečanje med različnimi strokovnjaki, ki sprejemajo pripovedi drugih” (Project SFP)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The event “Con le storie addosso / Z zgodbami v sebi”, organized by Puntozero in collaboration with Comunità Nove, aims to open a dialogue about embracing each other’s personal stories, starting from two narratives featured in the application Tracks – Stories for Passengers, written by author Astrid Casali and dedicated to the theme of mental health. The introduction by Puntozero on the process that led to the writing of the stories will be followed by a reading of the stories by actress Aida Talliente and a conversation between Martina Meduri (psychiatrist at CSM Udine Sud); Berenice Pegoraro (social worker); and Aida Talliente (actress). The event takes place within the framework of the festival “Disturbo? Fragile: maneggiare con cura”, promoted by Cooperativa Itaca of Udine.

Open Air Exhibition “Glassmakers in the Trebuščica Valley on the edges of the Trnovo Forest” (Project Glass-Routes)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The second part of the exhibition dedicated to glass production, with a particular focus on the Trebuščica Valley, will be inaugurated in Tolmin (the first part can be visited in Lokve). In the framework of the Tolminski Muzej’s exhibition “V objemu gozdov, Gospodarjenje z gozdovi Zgornjega Posočja”, the external part of the exhibition dedicated to glassmakers, “Glassmakers in the Trebuščica Valley on the edges of the Trnovo Forest”, realised as part of the project Glass-Routes, will be inaugurated. As part of the opening, it will be possible to taste dishes inspired by wood-related jobs and a glass-makers’ dessert.
The event will take place in the open and no ticket or registration is required.

Guided excursion “Retracing the steps of ancient Goritian glassmakers” (Project Glass-Routes)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Presentation of the glassmakers’ routes and guided tour along one of them, where glassmakers once transported raw materials into the forest and carried out finished glass products—first to the warehouse in Lokve, then to Gorizia, and later to Trieste. As part of the research, the old paths, used by glassmakers to move materials and products in and out of the Trnovo Forest, were also cleared. The guided tour will be led by experts who will share stories of the flourishing art of glassmaking in the heart of the forest.
The event will take place in the open air and no ticket or reservation is required.

Training course for local schools “Living beyond border” (Project Line B)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: During the morning session — dedicated to students from local schools, both Italian and Slovenian — the participants will walk along the itinerary, listening to its stories through specially provided devices. The goal is to deepen their understanding of the history of the border between Gorizia and Nova Gorica and to explore the impact it has had on the lives of citizens and on the local culture, using an experiential approach that engages and stimulates students’ interest. The audio narratives will be enriched, in specific locations along the route, by the presence of costumed reenactors who will bring the stories to life by portraying people who personally experienced the border. Teachers of the classes participating in the educational program will receive, prior to the event, a kit containing the itinerary and the relevant historical background, in order to prepare students on the topics covered.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The “Smart City” Hackathon is an international event, dealing with one of the most important challenges of our time: the transformation of urban energetic systems. The goal is to develop innovative and concrete solutions to reach zero-emission buildings and create smarter, greener, and more sustainable cities. The hackathon will bring together creators, developers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and visionaries who, by collaborating and sharing ideas, will contribute to achieve an energetically more efficient future.
The event will see the participation of the participants which previously took part in the three thematic meetings of the ECoCNetwork project, and it will not be open to the public.

Theatre Performance “Ljubka” (Project CROSS STORIES)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Musical monodrama in Slovenian, with Italian and English surtitles. Written by Jasmin Kovic and Ljubka Šorli and directed by Jasmin Kovic. Poetess Ljubka Šorli, born in Klanc by Tolmin, is one of the brightest figures in the history of the Primorska Region. Despite the numerous challenges she faced throughout her life, including the martyrdom of her husband – composer Lojze Bratuž – and the cruel acts of torture perpetrated by the Fascist regime, she kept a humane and noble posture for the whole duration of her life.

Cultural Event “Tracks: Stories on the Road” (Project SFP)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: This event will explore the process leading to the creation of the app Tracks and of the stories that can be listened to while travelling on the trains and buses throughout the Friuli Venezia Giulia and Primorska regions. The event will see the participation of Carlo Zoratti (stories curator), Jacopo Bottani (author of the stories “Train of Memories” and “The Broom”), and Stefano Giacomuzzi, director who realised the project’s video-documentary. In the aftermath of the event, refreshments will be provided and it will be possible to listen to the story “The Broom” on bus line number 8 (tickets will be provided for free).
Free admission. Bus tickets will be provided for free to the participants. Participants will have to bring their own headphones.
