Mobile climbing wall “Walls on Wheels” (Project Boulderless

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: As emphasised by the spokespersons of the two promoting associations, Francesco Calderini and Andrej Cotar, joined in the presentation of the event by the municipal councillor for sport, Giulio Daidone, sport climbing is very inclusive and contributes to the creation of an environment marked by values such as respect, cooperation and responsibility, besides bringing considerable psycho-physical benefit to practitioners. Depending on age and physical fitness, different levels of difficulty can be offered on the wall, which can be up to 4.5 metres high and covers 60 square metres. Everything will take place in maximum safety, with mattresses and technical devices and the presence of qualified personnel who will provide advice and assistance. The aim of the two associations is to make sport climbing known to a wider public, bringing it closer to schools and those who would otherwise not have the chance to discover it.

The wall, which is currently located in Nova Gorica, is achieving great success, so much so that it is thought that in Gorizia there could be around 90 people a day who want to try it.

Participation will be free of charge, during the hours of 9 a.m. to noon and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., with no need to book. The initiative is organised by the ASD Gorizia Climbing District and ASD Društvo, which manages the climbing gym in Šempeter pri Gorici.

Workshop on footprints told on clay “To be river, to be multiplicity” (Project PV)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The main protagonist of the natural environment on the border is the Isonzo River - Soča in Slovene - whose waters are emblematic of the cross-border reality, flowing through both territories. A river whose limpid waters have been clouded in the past by the bloody battles of the First World War and the polluting materials released by industries and sedimented on its banks.

Through the presence of the artist and the collaboration of Comfort Zone's art therapists and educators, the workshop will explore the capacity for reconciliation that nature can offer mankind. The young men and women participating will be involved in the creation of a collective work that enhances their singularity and the value of cooperation for the development of ecological thinking. The clay, as living matter, will carry with it the memories of the river, welcoming the imprints of new narratives that will compose a community narrative. The workshop is free of charge and open to all, reservation is required: prenotazioni@iodeposito.org
