We celebrated the first anniversary of the GO! 2025 inauguration
Al GO!
A good number of people took part in the celebrations organized by the EGTC GO at the GO! Center in Gorizia on Sunday, February 8th, to mark the first anniversary of the inauguration of GO! 2025, the first cross-border European Capital of Culture in the history of the European Union. On this occasion, the photographic exhibition “Obiettivo GO! 2025” by Pierluigi Bumbaca was inaugurated, showcasing through his images the most significant moments of this extraordinary year.
In addition to photographer Pierluigi Bumbaca, speakers included the Mayor of Gorizia Rodolfo Ziberna, the President of the EGTC GO Paolo Petiziol, and the Director of the EGTC GO Romina Kocina. They celebrated the achievements reached and highlighted the cultural and symbolic value of GO! 2025 for the cross-border area. All speakers strongly emphasized that the experience does not end here: the spirit of GO! 2025 lives on and represents a solid foundation for future cooperation between Nova Gorica and Gorizia.
At the GO! Center, in addition to the photographic exhibition, visitors also had the opportunity to discover the Kiss&GO project (SPF GO! 2025), which featured a playful and interactive installation promoting bilingualism. Visitors could also explore the exhibition-narrative “EGTC GO – Building a Shared Territory”, dedicated to the recent history of the border area and the main milestones achieved in the 15 years since the establishment of the EGTC GO. Video testimonials were also available, presenting initiatives implemented in the area thanks to the Small Project Fund financed by the Interreg Italy–Slovenia Programme and managed by the EGTC GO.
