A musical event set in a place of great symbolic value: the Church of San Valentino on Mount Sabotino, a site of transnational memory.

Composer and pianist Luca Ciut has composed soundtracks nominated for the David di Donatello and the European Film Awards, with a style that blends cinematic writing, sound exploration, and contemporary sensitivity. Allow Yourself is the title of Luca Ciut’s new concert: a collection of original pieces designed to inspire the listener and offer a musical experience of deep introspection and beauty.
Where time stands still and history breathes, the notes of the piano will tell emotions beyond words.

The event is organized by GECT GO as part of the project “Beyond Walk of Peace: from Crossborder Historical Research and Cultural Heritage to European Trail and Stories” (BeWoP), co-financed by the Interreg Italy–Slovenia program, in collaboration with Fundacija Poti Miru, ZRC SAZU, PromoTurismo FVG, the Municipality of Miren-Kostanjevica, and the èStoria Association.

PROGRAM:

5:00 PM – Arrival with your own transport at one of the three designated parking areas and departure on foot towards the Church of San Valentino

6:20 PM – Bilingual welcome by the BeWoP project

6:30 PM – Allow Yourself, concert by Luca Ciut

8:00 PM – Return on foot and by private transport from the church to the village of San Mauro

9:00 PM – Refreshments organized in collaboration with KD Sabotin at the former elementary school in San Mauro

HOW TO REACH the church where the concert will take place:

1. Parking near or next to the platform above the Osimo road (NSA 55), and transfer by minivan to the 6th switchback of the military road, followed by a 10–15-minute walk along a gravel road to reach the church;

2. On foot from the Slovenian side of Mount Sabotino:

• Parking at Sabotin Peace Park Visitor Center (Sabotin Park Miru Center za obiskovalce) – approx. 45–60 minutes on foot;

• Parking along the gravel road connecting Podsabotin Road to the fifth switchback of the military road on the Italian side of Sabotino – approx. 30 minutes on foot
